About PhysID

PhysID is a product from Provenance Tags, a Copenhagen-headquartered team that already ships ptagchain.io on Concordium mainnet today — a Concordium-anchored stack for product authentication delivering ZKP identity verification, one-tap NFC, stablecoin payments with smart locks, and immutable record keeping. PhysID applies the same stack to physical AI — humanoids, robots, AI glasses.

Architecture in one paragraph

Identity is anchored at the hardware layer (post-quantum signed NFC tag or embedded secure element), accountable at the Concordium identity layer (IDP-verified operator, ZK credentials, Privacy Guardian–gated disclosure), and usable offline at the encounter layer (NFC tap or BLE broadcast with rotating session IDs and on-device challenge-response).

The disclosure tiers

  • Tier 1 — Ambient. BLE broadcast of class, operator category, jurisdiction, rotating session ID. No identity.
  • Tier 2 — Tap. ZK proofs of authorisation, insurance, recall status, jurisdictional permissions. Facts, not identity.
  • Tier 3 — Authorised. Full operator identity. Requires Concordium Privacy Guardian cooperation — PhysID cannot disclose unilaterally.

What PhysID is not

  • Not a Concordium Privacy Guardian. We cannot deanonymise a unit.
  • Not a custodian of operator private keys. The shared vault holds anything that needs signing; PhysID requests operations.
  • Not a place for hosting non-identity data about a unit. The registry is identity + lifecycle only.

EU posture

Provenance Tags ApS is headquartered in Copenhagen and operates within the EU regulatory framework. Sandbox and production traffic terminate in EU regions (Fly.io ams). The Concordium Privacy Guardian network spans jurisdictions chosen for non-collusion and procedural integrity.
